Odor leak question

Hello, so I'm going to start with my first indoor growth soon, I want to use a small warehouse of 2.5 x 2.5 feet wide but that is more than 8 feet tall and grow maybe 2-3 plants. It has windows and it will have a carbon filter with exhaust but the door is not hermetically sealed of course, it's just a regular door. Will I have odor leaks? Something serious?

Thank you for your input, If I'm planning to grow 2, max 3 sativa plants in a 2.5' x 2.5' x 8' space with a door but not hermetically sealed (no tent) what fan/filter specs do you recommend that would be good to not have smell leaks or at least not serious ones?

I will have a 300 watt LED lamp (actual consumption +- 150 watt) so I guess heat will not be an issue.

I don't know much about fan inch to CFM ratio, but I did some calculations and so I have 106 cubic feet, according to what I read, this area must be filtered every minute so if I get a 144 CFM fan, then does that mean I'm good in terms of eliminating smells? Considering this is not a tent but a solid warehouse with a regular door not tightly sealed.

Get a 6 inch fan/filter and run it 24/7.

Add a cooltube if you can as well. So go filter/fan/cooltube and then duct out of the grow area.

2.5 x 2.5 x 8 = 50 cubic feet You need an exhaust fan to pull about 100 CFM...cubic feet per minute in order to change the air in the room 2 times / minute.... I'm sure you can find a 4" inline fan that will do the job....a real exhaust fan, not a "booster" duct fan. Here is one that is 171 cfm.....add a filter to it and you should be good ...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hurricane-Inline-Fan-4in-171-CFM-In-line-In-line-Blower-Duct-Fan-4-Inch-/121264013217?hash=item1c3be5ffa1:g:R1EAAOSwZG9Wii78

Get some double sided film (poly) to seal and light leaks with overlap. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR7.TRC1.A0.H0.Xpoly+film.TRS0&_nkw=poly+film&_sacat=0

Thanks, yeah with the LED lamp too much heat will never be a problem, in fact I'm more worried about the room getting too cold since I will start growing on March 1 and this is Czech Republic so minus temps could be reached at night though the storage room is in my room which has heating, though the exhaust/intake is a small window which I can probably insulate a bit with some bubble wrap and tape.

I found a good deal on the fans, these are the ones I have available in the Czech Republic, (will keep 3 plants growing at the same time and 300 watts of LED, the space is about 55 cubic feet) I prefer to go budget but effective:

This one is 165 CFM: http://www.growmarket.cz/vzduchotechnika/bez-regulace/tt-125mm280m3
what do you think, I want to pair it up with a carbon filter rated for it.

Also I can probably get a door draft stopper or even put towels on the gap under the door to make the room more air tight, although I noticed that tents are not 100% air tight anyways since they have an inlet to draw air and also for the cables.

The idea of not using tent is that I will save some money and also will have lots of head space in case the plant grows too tall because I want to grow sativas and also if they grow tall they could benefit from a second small but south facing window located at about 7 feet from the floor. I will put aluminum foil (bought at the supermaket, it works, right?) on the walls.

Also, the smell or the light doesn't have to be super stealth, this is Czech Republic and it is one of the most liberal countries in terms of weed, I have sometimes smelled fresh weed from my window which means a neighbor probably grows, I just don't want my apartment to stink or the neighbors to think this is a weed factory, so I guess I can make it with this setup, right?

Just my advice. Don't go with the led. Get a 400hps and a 150cm centrifugal fan. That fan you have shown is a mixed flow fan. Sure they are alright. But no way near as good as a centrifugal fan.

Led light means you will have to add a heater.

Just run your light on times through the night ie veg 6pm to 12pm and flower 6pm to 6am.

There's a really good grow store in Germany that delivers and really good prices. I'll see if I can find the details.

Check the link in my sig. I use a 2x4x6 wardrobe. Where the door meets I ran a board vertically and put 1x1 inch foam on it. I screw the doors shut and they seal.

With the way I have the fan mounted I can leave the doors shut without sealing and very little smell. I have to seal it now though because I'm running a cheese that stanks loud.

Interesting whitebb2727, here's a pic of the closet where I will grow, as you can see it is perfect and has 2 of those narrow but long windows, allows plenty of natural light too since they face south, I was planning to add mylar but the walls are white so maybe it wouldn't make a difference.

One question though: do the walls get stained with resin or something?
