So I decided to do a journal with the start of my new OG Kush #18 grow. Just did some awesome improvements to the flowering room, if you note the pictures. I modified a window exhaust from a portable air conditioner to fit in my type of window, did a 5" to 4" reducer to a 90 degree elbow to clear the tent, then a Y bracket to send intake air to the two fans. I then have dust shroom filters for both 4" fans which are on opposite sides of the tent. There is also a dehumidifier keeping the room at 40%, two pedestal osculating fans and one tower osculating fan, and a heater to keep the room at 73 degrees while the lights are off. For lights we have a 600 watt and a 400 watt high pressure sodium in sun system hoods. The 400 is in a Yield master II 6" classic which is 18.5 x 22 inches, and the 600 is in a Blockbuster 6" which is 25.5 x 25.5 inches. The exhaust is sucked in one end of the 400 watt hood through ducting, through the 600 watt hood, and out the ceiling with a 6" vortex. The room is sealed best as possible and runs between 73 and 75 degrees and 38 and 45 percent humidity. I will be using general hydroponic nutes which balance the PH at 6.5 very nicely, and then a little ph down in my tap water which runs at about 7.3 ph. I will post some pictures with the lights on and plants inside a little later today. Enjoy!

I have the same tent and light! How nifty! Looks good, how loud is it when it kicks on? What's in the end of ur duct fan? I have a massive carbon scrubber on mine 40+ pounds. There is no smell til it turns off!

When the system kicks on it has a pretty good hum to it when you are in the room, but outside the vent from our furnace for the heat in the house drowns out the sound of the intake. Neighbors aren't really an issue though. The exhaust just vents out into the room the tent is in, once again smell isn't too big of an issue so for now I'm not going to concern myself with it. It is going to be a five plant rotation but the first round is only going to be two plants because they are too big to do five. It is just soil for now but I want to get into DWC. I like the simplicity of it while still getting the increased results of hydro. I have just never done it before and getting the tent set up was priority one

There is a small learning curve but after a few grows DWC is just too easy, and results after getting dialed in are awesome.
Waterfarms are a great place to get you feet wet,and find em easier than soil.

Im going aero in a few months with stinkbuds design,Cost Diy under 300 usd.
Gl on your grow.
