Og Kush 6 Weeks In Flower And No Sign Of Ripeness, How long does it take to mature?

6 weeks and 4 days into flower and the girls look and smell GREAT. They show no sign of maturity with only an occasional red flower. Trichomes are mostly clear with an occasional cloudy one. No trichomes are amber. I am growing in dirt and plan on flushing 10-14 days before harvest, which would be now if going 8 weeks for flowering. They are getting fat, but no sign of maturity. Has anyone had experience growing OG Kush outdoors with a longer than 8 week flowering cycle. By the way, I am in San Diego County about .5 miles from the water if that makes a difference. This is my first grow and I am VERY excited. I am posting photos taken this morning. They are big files, but you can see trichomes.

Lookin nice man. I grew out some OG Kush last year (South East) and mine were not ripe and mature until around Oct. 20. Granted i live down here. For sure let it go another 2-3 weeks and let those trichs get danker. Using just water will be fine for the final weeks, its better to stay flushing than risking any chemicaly taste.

When you are referring to 8 weeks im guessing is the indoor cycle for OG Kush. In outdoor aspects I tend to compensate the time of night and its length in reference to an indoor cycle. The nights outdoor ( lights off indoor) is way shorter therefore not going to be on the same time frame. The hairs show maturity but I wouldn't get exited about picking until she reaches about 50%+ red hairs. Be patient with her and take it out to about 9 weeks and keep checking the ambers for ripeness. I enjoyed about 25/75 amber to cloudy which is what my OG was. Itll all be fine in the end when youre stuck to that couch ordering pizza.:joint:

WOW Oct 20th.... You must have great patience. It looks like I should wait at least a week before flushing. I like my sativas harvested just a bit early for that up feeling.
