I found this on the edge of my lawn. It was about 1½" round. When I first found it, I broke it in half to look inside and tossed it. I swear it looks like a cat turd! Then began to wonder......What the hell is it really!
The pictures are the remaining half. It's a firm spongy/squishy and has no odor. It was hard to pull out of the ground but had very little root matter. I had recently Miracle Grow fertilized and heavily watered my lawn a week or so prior to finding this thing.
Now the bug, this thing is about 1/8" and was in my flower garden last summer, it is a cool looking thing! Again, WTF is it?
