Ok, Lets Talk

Ok, lets talk about harvesting. I just harvested
a crop of Train Wreck. Very nice weed. good high. Nice taste. BUT WHAT A NIGHTMARE to manicure. Big huge colas. Or so they look like great big colas, when in fact they are smaller golf ball sized buds, with leafs between each of those smaller buds. So you have to spread them apart to get down inside.
I have found that I can do almost as good a job and way faster by manicureing with out my snips. I just grasp the leafs and give them a nice popp motion, while supporting the bud with the other hand. I have gotten over a gram of finger hash this harvest. This is the way I have seen Arjan and his buddy from Green House seeds do it. And i always do as much manicureing as soon as i cut down the plant. That way the leafs are not dropping over the buds, and hard to get at.

Well here is what I am searching for. I about went and killed my new babies. I have been manicureing for 5 nights straight after work. This is way to much work. I need tricks to manicure faster. And maybe strains that have more dense harder buds, with less leaf. Granted, these leafs have a lot of THC also, but they are not pleasing to the eye.

This has been the most work i have ever done on a harvest. I never want to go through this again. I am still thinking about breaking down my equipment.

Anyone ever used one of those power manicureing tools?

I think the trick is in the strain. I have only been buying designer strains for about a year. I have grown some very nice bag weed, and had it very easy and fast to manicure.

But ponder this.. If you grew something like AK47 and you got a few seeds in it. Would you consider those seeds bag seed? I know they would be considered bag seed by others.

Well any ideas, INFO, strains.. Put your ideas out there..

look up the handytrimmer, urban grower did a run with it on youtube that might be what your after, trimming is a pain in the ass but its got to be done, personally i think that the power trimmers are good for big commercial gardens but i wouldnt use one but thats just me. as far as bag seed goes yeah it would be on the same class as bag seed, some of my best strains started off as bag seed, its not always bad ya know...unless you are digging them out of brick weed then its usually shit, when i was in high school years ago i grew a bag seed from some schwag and the thing grew about 15 feet tall and yielded a little over 2 pounds of soso weed, it wasnt very good but i had a ton of it
