No, this isn't about my penis...
Just wondering who else runs ancient gear with good results.
This is a 400w MH ballast that's getting rewired. Probably made in the 70s & still works perfect. Check out that steel box! They don't make em like that anymore...

I use a heavy old 1000w magnetic ballast and parabolic hood in the wintertime as a heat source. Who needs a radiating heater when you've got a magnetic ballast setup?

I still use a 250 halide that was made in 83. I've never had to replace anything except the bulb. It was an all in one unit but I used a cord from an old AC hood that I didn't need and made it remote.

My sunlight supply 600w ballast is going on 18 years old, even after being dropped by the ups man,and a hammer attack from my ol'lady.

I just sold an old diamond electric and a Hydrofarm 1000 watt ballast that I owned for 10 years and it was already rusty when I bought it second hand.. Soo it was probably pretty old. Worked great every day!
