Old Newbie has questions...

I have been away from growing since the disco era. We grew in our closets and nobody (at least in my midwest town) cared or tried to grow without getting seeds.:eyesmoke:

Last year I vacationed on Vancouver Island and found out that the local meds are better than the ones my doctor is prescribing.

Anyway - NOW, I am a newbie hydro grower. I have questions- strange and dumb questions.

#1 - why is it that 90% of my forum searches come up with no results found?

#2 - Stealth - what do others do with their nutrient bottles, old boxes, unused rockwool..etc All those things that seem to attract the attention of friends & neighbors.

#3 - Starting my 2nd grow and I keep looking into my grow closet 2-3 times a day which would be OK but I keep doing to much like dropping the ph too fast or overfeeding.
Does this obsession slow down after a few grows?

#4 - Smell - I flowered a couple of clones (supposedly haze) and got no smell - as far as I know. If I continue with just a few plants can I ignore the odor issue?

#5 - I was worried about how cool it is in my place but now I'm worried about the temps (80+ degrees) in my hydro reservoir - what can I do? I assume the heat is coming from the water pump - Any reason I can't move the pump outside the rubbermaid?

Thanks for listening - good luck!

#1 The search function here is pretty much useless. I usually use google. Try this - site:rollitup.org "whatever you want to search for" Just leave the quotes out.

#2 If you think there is the possibility that your garbage may be searched, just keep all your grow related trash together. Whenever you get a full bag or two drop it in an unwatched dumpster somewhere. Make sure there is nothing in the bags that can be traced back to you, ie receipts, mail, etc.

#3 I've been growing 6 months and I'm still guilty of loving my plants too much on occasion. :wall: Just remember, less is usually more.

#4 Depends on the strain you are growing, and your living situation. Better safe than sorry, especially if you have neighbors nearby.

#5 I'm a soil guy, can't help you there. I'm sure someone will come along with some more help there.
