Old-School Mexican Strains!

Hi guys,

I REALLY want an old-school Mexican Sativa like Tijuana Brown, Acapulco Gold, Michoacan Spears, Zacatecas Purple, Highland Oaxaca Gold, or Guerreran Green. I have been looking for close to a year now for some leads, but have not found any! I don't know where to get them and they are not sold commercially that I know of. If anyone has some info on where to get them or any thoughts, PLEASE share. thanks

Sativa seeds eldorado is supposed to be oaxacan. Sannies has a jalisco landrace. I haven't really seen too much other mexican landrace seeds anywhere. I dont think barneys farm acapulco is real. Your best bet may be to buy a bag of brick weed and use the seeds from it.

Brick weed is usually gonna be your best bet and to this day has given some of my best plants/keepers
I've never seen a true landrace strain out of south/central america on any seed bank. But there are a few that are close. But the ones you can find arent crosses worth growing IMO.

Stay away from any haze. And anything that flowers under 16weeks ifyour gonna get ssomething out of a bank. Melon and the sweeter ones have more cbd and are shorter flowering. I think DNA has one, I forget what they call it. Stay away from those if you want the classic high. kiwi seeds has one that Ive suggested before, not the best but fairly accurate, a decent Mexican.
Stick to sour strains...some like the lime as well, they flower slightly longer and a bit more thcv. The smell can be sickening on some phenos though
Mango plants are risky, typically gonna be fluffy and leave you unsatisfied

i also been wanting to try the Acapulco Gold! only thing is the only one i found that has it is Barneys and i hate that fucking seed bank..they are the worst one out there imho..if u find someone else that has it please let me know..here is what i found on herbies..

Acapulco Gold has resulted from the recent improvement in our understanding of cannabis genetics. Without a doubt this new age plant has a class and stature that leaves the medocre average smoke of the old days in its wake.

Way too indica, easy to grow can handle some nutes. but otherwise crap in general not that frosty not that overpowering of a high or smell.

Not impressed with Barney's either, I got some of those AG fems and popped 2 to test them, they popped but after 3 weeks of going nowhere I pulled them. Will run them again at some point but so far any Barney's seeds I've popped were crap quality imo. Giving them one more shot with some LSD's but not impressed so far.

Can't vouch for them as I haven't grown them but both Ace and Cannabiogen have some old school and localized saliva strains that you may be interested. Check out Attitude of Seedsman

Thanks everybody, after doing more research I found only one Mexican strain, but found two more that I really like. The mexican is "Cannalope Haze," which is Michoacan Spears X Haze Bros' Original Haze. It appeals to me for the Mexican Landrace influence, and the dab of original Haze. 8 week flowering time, and 95% Sativa!...I also found Malawi which is a Sativa Landrace from Africa, and it is supposed to be very potent. The people there smoke this in the morning to wake them up, instead of coffee! It finishes in around 13-15 weeks. I will also be doing Kona Gold, a Hawaiian Landrace. It is Mostly Sativa and is said to be an easy grow. I really want to do a Panama as well, but dont trust these breeders with "Mixed panama genetics." Anybody know of some Panama strains? Thanks all, and take a look at the strains, tell me what yall think!

I just started a couple Malawi beans. Stop on by the Ace thread as some people have posted some other gear and perhaps something you are interested in may be posted or ask in there. Pretty such someone has grown the Panama in there.

I'm too lazy to do a full journ, what I do is document them as they go in that Ace thread. I like seeing what other people are doing with Ace/Cannabiogen so it's not a traditional journal. After they are officially complete, I give a run down based on my digital notes and experience with the genetics. But please feel free to stop on by. I know some have grown the Panama.

too bad you don't live in Texas. Everyone but real heads smoke Mexican brick weed. Seeds are in everyone's ash tray.

i got vanilla kush from barneys as a freebie last year from herbies so i tossed it outside with my others and needless to say it turned out pretty dank..all my buddys loved it but like u said i dont like barneys at all so i wont buy them..im thinking about getting some c99 from female and their purple maroc to go along with my Pure AK and bubblegummer for next season..can anyone chime in on the yeild of the c99 outdoors and if it will be worth my time? i like to get at least 10 oz per plant

i was trying to double quote it and delted it trying to add into the one above but cannot figure it out lol..not saying texas is a bad place to be..i have never ran no mexcian strain from dna either..did the holy grail,kandy kush and silver bubble all which are top notch strains

What is wrong with the Cannalope Haze?

Its just a crappy plant. It has mid levels of thc and like her sisters in that region have moderate cbd amounts. If your looking for the classic high like the strains you mentioned, that's not it. But the names you listed were gimmicks. There are roughly 6 real strains coming out of central america. The original sour strains are Mexican and can be garlicy berry like. Will flower about 16 weeks with good yields and chunky spongey buds of stank.
That's your best bet.. you can find a good chemdawg or whatever that's pretty damn close. That sweet shit is weak shit. Fluff.. her sisters go from cucumber to marshmallow. Their lame.... lime strains are racier and can flower longer. Tga has one of decent representation if you can hunt it down.
If it helps I've been growing mainly south/central american landraces over a decade..I know them girls

Panama from ACE is the real deal. 12 to 13 weeks flower. I have no idea on what PR was like back when but do remember some quality sativa from back then and this is damn close. Oaxacan red to be exact.
