Omfg Please Help Me!

I have another post running but I wanted to start a new thread to see what the hell I am up against here.

I have seen this developing on my plants for a little bit and on a few plants it appears to be getting much worse.

The question is if I am dealing with pests, PH, over nute or under nute...

Currently my ph is looking good. It is around 5.5 to 6.2 and I keep it in check. I recently filled my res and buckets for the first time and I transplanted the plants about 4 days ago.

I was hand watering them for a while but now they are on the hydroponics system.

My PPM though seems low (around 550 with a start ppm of 220 before adding anything). I am using botanicare's pure blend pro and following the directions exactly. On top of that I am also using Liquid Karma.

Based on the pics can somebody tell me what i am up against here? I am a noob and really need help. I am thinking nute defiency since my other plants in my veg room just had their res changed and my ppm is around 1200!

By the way, I had a smal case of powder mildew but treated it with a spray solution. It returned a little but now seems to be in check. I am not sure if the spray has anything to do with it but it said on the bottle that the spray can he used right up to harvest.

I saw the same symptoms in my last soil grow, it spread quickly and scared the shit out of me. I leached all the palents with room temp water in the shower for a long time...they all perked up in about 4 days, might try changing your resevore with 25% solution top watering with lots of water and then refill the res with fresh nutes and water make sure your PH is good

By leaching do you mean just flushing them with ph'd H2O with no nutes?

I cannot put my plants in a hower because they are in biobuckets and cannot be moved.

I am thinking that it might be sunburn (again) from keeping the plants too close.

These MH, "Full Sun" bulbs seem to be a little less forgiving than the normal HPS light.

I am keeping a close eye on them and it does not seem to be getting any worse. I will keep you all updated.

doesnt look like not enough nutes, maybe just a little to much, or minor heat stress. if your worried about pests i would examine the bottom of the leafs.

I have been checking for pests and have not been able to find anything. I think that the damage may have been due to light burn. About a week or so ago I had moved the lights to 12" over their tops. Others on this board have kept 400W lights at that distance with no problem but I think that these, "Full Sun" MH lights give off a bit more juice that your regular HPS lights. If you compare the 2 spectrums, the MH has over twice the spectrum over all the light bands especially in the blue and red bands. Now the lights are back to about 18" or so and the problem has not worsened.

Hopefully this will be the end but if it happens again I will try backing off the nutes.

Im just a noob and have not ever done a hydroponic system since the plants im doing now are soil but as an outsider looking in, it doesnt look like a dificiency problem but something more like sunspots, or sunburns, were an area is gettin so hot that it continues to become hotter and burns...My guess is light burns.

I wouldnt worry to much ,all my bottom leaves went yellow in colour they havent fully recovered but all the new groth is fine and some leaves have dyed and fell off but apart from that they are fine and doing really well now.

It was my 1st grow and i think the reason they went yellow was over watering and having my hps to close.

you said, you sprayed some mold killer on your plants. If you did this while your light weas on, then the moisture, will cause hot spots, and burns just like the ones you have. I recommend anytime you spray your plants with anything, to do it as soon as the lights go off. Not to mention if you get some moisture on your light while its on, it can cause the light to pop.

Yeah I did spray them with the light on. I have been doing it quite a bit actually and have not seen any problems. It may have been a bad idea to do it with the anti fungus though since the left over chemical could definitely cause problems.

My reflectors are air tight and I dont have to worry about my bulbs. I use the Sunleaves Aurora 6.
