On the way to ripe?

I'm almost seven weeks in to 12/12 of a single Critical plant and have maybe 20% orange pistols and some lower fan leaf yellowing. Tho there's many, many buds all but a few seem smallish.
Do buds continue to fatten after the pistols start to turn? Is the thing already on it's way to ripening?
