How many plants ideally to give roughly an ounce per plant?

And/or what sort of space is it to cover from one lamp - i ask because im thinking of buying a grow tent and an air cooled HPS and doing this properly!!!

Im only gonna buy the one lamp so i just need to know what area it will cover and roughly how many plants i should be flowering with it thx.

do one plant under one 600w light. during veg, lst and top the hell out of it. you can get between 1/4 - 1 lb this way.

I also have a 600w HPS and the area of my grow is 7'x3'x7H...
I hear and read that it covers 5'x3' and that is not much, i'm planning on letting them veg until they are like 18"... Will be using 10-3 gallon pots uner that light, and I'm using bagseed for this, then the second time will be doing pure genetics from either serious, barney and/or sensi.

The light should be good for 5'x3', but I will be using it on 7'x3', maybe will shorten the room to 5x3 adding a couple of fake walls, cardboard or plywood or something, anyway...

Great Luck, Tuanis.

Im all in favor of low plant numbers, however for the first run, its good to have a few plants incase one of them gets dead.
You will learn a LOT from the first grow, hopefully u dont learn about root rot, nute burn, ph swings, and white flies all in one try, like I did.
I would say shoot for 9 plants, 1 plant per sq ft.
Then after the 1st grow, and u have a better idea on growing, your strain, etc Go for the one big plant.
My goal is eventually to have a plant take up a whole whole room by having her grow into a trellis cage set up on the walls.
