one last dumb question

...for today anyway bongsmilie

I have moved my "girls" into flowering and I'm wondering if I should stay with the mh lighting or go back to fluorescents (I know that's spelled wrong :cuss:

Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Will be posting pictures soon of the progress. Hey, I'm a first time dad here ;-)

I would not switch from a MH to CFL’s but if you wanted to add at least a little to the light spectrum you could add the CFL’s and use both. It doesn't have to be an either or choice.

do both, but i'd suggest getting a hps system, it'll pay for itself w/better buds!!

I would suggest in investing in an HPS when that can be done because it will definitely pay dividends in the form of bigger fatter harder buds.

If he does not want to have to switch out lights/ballast he could purchase an HPS that a MH conversion bulb could be used in and then either sell his present MH or if he has the space and the ventilation to handle it run both MH’s while in veg or just hang onto it for a backup in case of an emergency situation.

LOL, that is exactly what I've done. I put one FL on one side of the plants and the other on the opposite side, both are pointing at the plants. It's amazing how fast the buds are growing; I'm getting really excited about the potential yield. Especially since this is my first grow and the seeds were from a friend, about a year old, and had been stored completely wrong. I got 3 of 9 to germinate and 2 of the 3 are girls :-P

Thanks for all your help. I'll post some pics later today.
