Hello everyone,
I have been lurking and learning from you all for quite some time. I am in the process of acquiring all new equipment as my state has gone legal recently so it is time for me to take things a little more serious. I'm calling this the pre-cab grow because I got too anxious waiting for all of my equipment and decided to start a seed from my bag seed jar and have a little pre-cab fun. I am not completely new to growing but only a handful of successful grows under my belt. This IS however my first public journal so bear with me.
LOCATION:
Currently a closet grow in an extra bedroom. Bedroom is undergoing transformations to support a larger grow. The climate where I live is nice and dry for flowering however supplemental humidity is needed during veg. Outdoor temps range from -50 to 100 (-40 to 38 celsius) degrees, indoor temps constant at 72 (22ish celsius) degrees.
SETUP
1 100w 4 tube t-5 light for early veg(I find starting them under the fluorescent then transitioning to MH I get less early stretch because I can keep the t5 less than 3 inches from my babies)
1 600w MH for mid to late veg
1 600w HPS for flower
1 5 gallon pot
Fox farms happy frog soil
Dyna-gro grow formula for veg
Dyna-gro pro-tekt silicone treatment veg thru flower
Dyna-gro bloom (used 1:1 with grow formula) for flower
Home made C02 supplementation for veg (its cheap and makes me feel better unsure how it effects growth rate as it is a relatively small amount of co2 generation) regulated co2 from tank for flower
TRAINING
This plant is currently intended for a 4-way LST (I know a little risky with unknown genetics but if it goes male or auto i only having to cut one plant out of my screen and its good practice)
This journal is starting a little late as I started germination on the 3rd of august, bean popped by the morning of the 5th and placed in soil then. Watered on the 5th, 8th, and 11th, With first feeding on the evening of the 14th. The second set of leaves came in a little malformed and with a couple lighter green/yellowish spots but all other leaf sets have looked ok so far. Im unsure as to why this happened but im not as concerned now that more leaves have come in and look fine.
The first pic is at 8 days. (Taken the 13th)
I think she looks pretty good for 8 days in soil at that point. Hopefully I can get another photo up of her current state later today. Please feel free to chime in and let me know what you think!
