Iam planning to do a stealth cabinet scrog grow using CFLs. My grow area is very small 18"L x 14" W. I have read that you want about 3000-7000 lumens per square feet. So it looks like I will be needing a light setup giving me about 5000 lumens for my grow area, which is 1 square feet.
So how many CFL bulbs and at what wattage? I have a hard time figuring it out myself because a 15 watt cfl puts out 60 watts.

Don't worry about that, worry about what the maximum is you can fit into your area before heat becomes a problem.

Buy a thermometer, and start adding bulbs. Your shooting for around 85F with the lights on for maximum photosynthesis.

50-100 actual CFL watts per cubic foot of foliage for 'supreme growth'(flowering).

You can use as little as 12-25 actual CFL watts per sq foot for vegetative.
