Only 1 main cola on all my plants?? following 'buds for less'

Hey, I bought BUDS for less on 4/20 this year, and have followed it as closely as possible, with the only difference being that i had more trouble getting lights on the side within 2 inches of the buds, so they are currently about 6 inches distant on the sides. My plants all followed the book almost exactly, and i flowered 3 days after the book did (around day 20), but now, with my plants 4 days short of the 2 month mark, they all only have 1 main cola, with bud growing at all the nodes all the way up, but no branches ever developed, should i have vegged longer? or was this because my cfls on the sides were 4 inches too far out??

Nice plant's. Yeah they stretched up and not out because the side lighting isn't A. Close enough or B. Intense enough. Keep up the good work.

Do you know what strain it is?

Fdd has grown them upside down

Do you have any reflective material in there? It looks like the plants stretched out a bit. They look like indicas and should be really bushy. After 20 days in my box they are usually only 4-5 inches tall.

Otherwise they look great. You'll have a couple massive nugs when all is said and done.

Are those the cfls with the 900 lumen output?

Hey man I like your setup. I'm almost done with my 1st grow (CFL's!) and can't believe how amazing my results have been. My plant was bagseed/almost died/grew up in a solo cup etc etc.

Mary's a tough girl- my best advice to you is

1) Get LOTS OF BULBS - the more light you add the more buds you will get. plain and simple. look at my box if you'd like an idea... i really could have used a few more.

2) Get the Bulbs CLOSE. F'N CLOSE. look on my plant- the buds swell to inproportionate (based on location on stem) sizes based on how CLOSE ( proximity=intensity=energy=bud). 6 inches wont work man. you need all sides. reflective stuff. anything helps. and believe me- i was broke as shit adding 3 cfl's a week to mine but every little bit is worth it.

3) Be gentle, and use molasses.


other than that your plants look awesome man. that book inspired (didnt buy it... too broke) me lol.
