Oops. Early pre-flower. Now what?

Apparently, I put my Girl Scout cookie clones outside too soon. They are doing great except they are showing pre-flowering. I'm in Southern Cali. I realize now that I should have been putting a few CFL's out on a timer coming on at about 4 AM to make the day longer. (It's Mid-May.)

I'm going to start doing that now to make them go back into veg. Do you all concur? Is there anything else I should do like toping them off to encourage them to veg? They are only about 14 inches tall so a harvest wouldn't yield much.

I'm new. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks.image.jpg

that's not preflower, but rather full on flowering.. yeah, you put them outside too soon and the day light hours aren't long enough to support veg growth quite yet..
they might automatically reveg themselves as the days get longer, or they might continue to flower.. i'd bring them back inside and reveg them if you want larger plants, then put them back outside agin a bit later in the month, closer to the end of may or so, depending on where you live of course..
