Open Fixture Question

So ill be doing a cmh grow and the s51 horizontal burn master color bulbs are open fixture rated I believe so my question is. Where do I find an open fixture with a 4-6in vent on the side because in worried about heat issues using just a plain reflector and I was wanting pull the hot air directly out of the hood and directly outside. Or would it be easier for me to buy a vented air cooled hood and then just take the glass/plastic screen out? Thanks for the help!

I've never seen an unsealed hood that has ducting fixtures attached to it. Why do you not want to have a sealed hood?

You could always just position an air duct next to your light using an inline or can fan to pull air from around your light out of the space. I know there are a few who do this as they do not have an air cooled hood.

Because I have an open fixture rated light bulb that's why. And ya I figured it'll be difficult to vent but since its about to be winter time and the cold air from outside that ill be bringing in will do well with an open fixture with no air cool hood
