Ok, so back story, I had a tooth surgically removed, and the dentist gave me vicodin 5mg vic, with 500 milligrams Tylenol in it. I took one, about an hour later I took another one, No negative side effects, then about 8 hours later I took one with a slice of pizza, and it wasn't helping so after 30 minutes I took another one. I went outside, smoked a bowl (I know the risks of dry socket, I was careful.) and when I came back inside, I went to get a cup of water and couldn't stand up. I was dizzy and nauseous. I went to bed, and the entire next day I still felt like shit. Couldn't really get out of bed without wanting to barf. Haven't took any since.

Does anyone have any idea why I could of reacted that way to 10 MG of Hydrocodone?

not sure but when i used to use gravol (yes the motion sickness drug) id take like 12 -15 of them and i would smoke pot i would legit feel electric shocks up and down my body from my toes to my brain. i think there are some medicines that don't go well with mj. that havent been discovered yet

The 500 mg ones are pretty strong if you haven't had codeine in a while. So 2 kick my ass. Then taking the third one later, you still had some in your system, then smoking the bowl, what happened doesn't unusual to me

Nice, That part wasn't fun either. That's to be expected? I figured that was a miniscule dose, glad to know. I was thinking I probably got sicker because of the APAP then the Hydrocodone.

They gave me codeine Pre-op and I was fine

all i can tell is if u get hooked on them you'll wish u never took the first one..i was hooked on them for 6years b4 i got help...
trust me when i say this STOP NOW!! i was like that when i first started taking them but the felling was so good i did'nt mind the sickness...

Anyway, I Took 13 Gravol In One "Sitting" Lol, I Snorted 2 & Popped The Rest... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, Just Thinkibng About It Makes Me Wanna Throw Up! Anyway, I Just Felt Naucious And Literally Wanted To Die... NNEVER DO THAT SHIT, SOOO STUPID.

Did you read the OP? These pills were prescribed to me for reduction of the pain of slicing my gums open and peeling them back to expose my jawbone. I think a couple pain killers are justified.


Oxys post is awesomely ironic given his name. Lol

That's A LOT of Tylenol in there...

I would just take 2. You can probably get off with that, since you don't have a tolerance.
Get a pack of cigs, and they will boost it for like 10 minutes every time you smoke a cig :D

im sorry but are you stupid? or just choose not to read? if he smokes cigs after he takes those pills, he'll give himself dry sockets. Id even tell him not to smoke weed, my mom had all her top teeth removed and she came so close to getting dry socket, its not even funny

I ate steak THE DAY AFTER my surgery.

I smoked cigs THE WHOLE TIME, and smoked weed ON THE REGULAR.

I didn't get dry sockets.
You just gotta use that "water pick" syringe thing they give you, and keep yourself clean :dunce:

They gave you some shitty codone.

That's A LOT of Tylenol, and hardly any codone...

thats just you being dumb, seriously, dont share things to make it worse, his weed smoking is whatever, but encouraging him to smoke cigs just to boost the high of the pills at the expense of his mouth? fucking stupid. the weed is bad too but i know if i had my teeth out id want to get high.

You can smoke cigs after surgery.

And I just suggesting a way for him to get more effect from the codone without taking so much tylenol :dunce:

your advice is still harmful to his health overall.
just because you did it doesnt mean he should, you're telling him to do something that will make his pain worse

i fight nausea from opiate pain meds constantly if they contain much tylenol. When being forced to take them (as i am now since i can't smoke to relieve pain due to an employment UA), i have my dr give me an anti-nausea med as well.

I go with Boots Codeine & Paracetamol. Nice and easy ;) Just extract it & end up with half a glass of bitter water and knock it back with a good mix of Robinsons Summer Fruits & Barley :D

Add some tinnies & a couple joints I can`t feel the road I step my feet on :D

Thanks for the advice everyone! I just got back, and she gave me some milder Tylenol 3s that never made me sick. I was leaning towards a cold water extraction, but I wasn't sure, and didn't want to lead anyone to that conclusion. Weed is also out of the equation for a few days.

Finshaggy, I'm not sure you know what a dry socket is, or how it's caused. Thank you for your input though.

Also, I want to apologize to fasts10. It was 2 am and the pain was keepin me up. I was being an asshole. Thanks for the concern.
