Opinions on my first plant's progress?

Hey guys! This is my first time ever growing and I just wanted to share some pictures and maybe get some feedback on how things are looking so far. I posted a few pictures of her progress and all of the other photos are current. Shes in week 5 of veg at this point and my biggest concern is how bushy her interior is looking. Its only about 7 inches tall at this point but looks pretty crowded IMO. I did top at the 5th node and ive been doing a bit of LST but just in the last week or so the nodes have gotten a bit out of control and im not sure which ones to try and focus on to get the biggest yield. A few of the leaves are also doing a strange corkscrew like twisting that I tried to show in the images. Any advice, comments or questions would be very helpful

What are you using for light? Are you indoor or outdoor? What's your growing medium? Are you feeding her yet? Do you know if it is a girl? Lots of questions.
Is she still in that same little planter? How big do you want her to get?

I have a 600 watt LED in an indoor reflective tent. Im using organic soil and a bit of home-made compost. Watering with PH perfect trio. Ive been keeping my eye out for signs of gender but it hasn't developed any yet. Ive just been calling it "she" hoping ill get lucky and be right.

And its currently in a 2 gallon pot but the early photos are in a 1 gallon.. i don't have a ton of space to work with so ill probably just keep it in the 2 gallon. I only have about 4 feet of height to work with but id like it to get as big as it can in its space.

Does the light have switched for veg and bloom? If so turn both on. Not sure why but your plant is really growing slowly. Under good conditions after 5 weeks In veg most plant will be fully rooted in 3 or 5 gallon pots.

No, the light just has one setting. And ive been babying the hell out of this plant. Granted my experience is limited but im pretty sure im doing everything right. I wish I knew more about this particular plant. All I know is its supposedly Gelato (i just found it in some low quality bud) but maybe bad genetics had something to do with it? Luckily its just my practice seed but I hoped it would at least grow to produce something.

Ahhh! I’m not an advocate for “practicing” on unknown genetics. You’ll learn some, sure, but Life is short And you’ll learn much more and faster practicing on some good well know genetics. GL with that little, girl, I hope.

I should also probably point out that the younger pictures are in a one gallon pot and the more recent ones are in a 2 gallon. They look like the same pot so that could be screwing with perspective but its still not as big as it should be
