opinions on spin-trimmers

I'm dropping the first of 3 sour-turbo-diesel plants tonight and am strongly leaning toward renting a spin-trim for the other 2... local shop rents them for 50/day. I worry about the potential loss of trich's from the battering they'd receive inside the trimmer, but never having seen one in action, I may be wrong.

Anyone with experience got an informed opinion on this one?

Everything I've ever seen that was machine trimmed looked like garbage. There's a reason people get paid to trim... Attention to detail.

* Don't mutilate your buds man! No ... I borrowed 2 last season with a view of upgrading my old scissor gang ...fuck, no... the amount of good bud lost was mind blowing, these machines are great if you do grow medical grade, and make hash/oil with the huge trim left over ..later.. now I'd rather leave the water leaves on to wrap the bud, like opening a candy wrapper ...to me its an ID or trademark thing, beside makes a small surprise for the customer
