opinions wanted on water cooled 1000w

from what i've heard, they work if used correctly. which means having a resevoir just to cool the light. cool tube just seems easier to me.

I've done a similar setup, but using Ice Boxes. In both cases though, you'll need a water chiller powerful enough to cool the water, a remote resevoir, a pump, lines going to and from the light, and the capacity to deal with the resultant heat from the chiller. I like the concept, but I'm not really sure how much energy you'd save with needing all that stuff. If you live in a really hot area most of the year though, it might just be the way to go for you. When working properly, it has the ability to get a 1000W HID really close to the plants which is pretty amazing.

it works amazing i had my 1000w around 35cm above the plant with temps of a high 85f may b a little higher but a lot of money to set up and a lot of work u either have to have a rez with chiller like stated above or run to waste but that get costly unless u can pump water from a near by stream but that seems unlikley any ways sativa stoned and rambling my point is there good if u like hassels and headaches unless absolutly need a 1000w and to hot with cool tube i would go 2 600w there way more effecient more lumes to the plant and more groe area but that my 2cents^^^^^^spelled grow wrong hahaha f@ck it im a leave it in
well i already have a 1000 watt water cooled system with res and chiller and just wanted to see if i could avoid having to spend extra money if at all possible
