opium same buzz as oxy?

Sorry but just wondering what the buzz from smoking opium is like? Not describing the high but comparative wise. Is it like a roxy buzz or morphine, or its own thing?

Smoked the real shit once..inhaled and instantly threw up and was retained on the magic bliss carpet for a couple hours..beware of 'doops'..name is real..its an incense..and bunk..more mellow than pharmies but very fast on the come up,especially if its refined...canndo would have more insight id bet.

Most of it that was in my area years back was nothing but incense called "dragons blood". Looked like a blackish rock fuckin thing. I never smoked the shit but alot of people in my neighborhood did.

No way in hell can you compare opium to an oxy. Opium is a mild floaty type high. Opium will not scratch the itch for an oxy. In my experience they're completely different feelings. If you have never smoked opium, you'll probably be disappointed. It's a viable high for a pot head, but not for an oxy popper or heroin user. I doubt many will disagree.

I hit crystaline white powder with black specks..was young...later I realized mooks quote..its not as strong,just maintenance if you will...I remember that dragons blood...was an insence candle from what I heard..a reddish rock that melted and bubbled and got a pleasurable taste and somwhat head change/body buzz..still bunk like doops(gotta love the play on words'doops')..and my quote on the carpet ride referred to the opium,not doops...fuck a bunker!

Personal experience,id stay away and smoke mad hash...then u don't gotta worry about gettin itchy

Black and grey opium and monkeys blood opium I used to get when I was a teen! It's nothing special, knife hits all night! I like The taste though!

Damn I was hoping it was the same buzz as a roxy. If that was the case though I guess everyone would be growing poppies. I wish I knew how to make oxycodone or hell even hydro. Im just a country dude shit we can make our own smoke, and drink, I'm going to learn to make pills too damn it. haha. It's just a matter of singling a certain compound out of the latex then refining right? I don't know, I have a lot of learning to do.

Real opium is pretty magical, the buzz is much better than oxy. All floaty and dreamy. The side effects get to be hell when your tolerance gets high.

Not even closeto the same as oxy. there are even differences between smoked and eaten opium. There are qulaititative differences between cooked and raw between opium from different plants or regions as well, they say thebaine is not psychoactive but I suspect that it has a modifying effect. There are a number of other more or less active elements to an opium high.


Opium will, however, offer the user (the OCASIONAL user) a waking dreamlike state where he is in control of his fantasies, it very much affects the mind and mentality, more so than oxy or even straight morphine. Given the choice i will always go with the O. Oxy is a toy, hydro is a tool, but opium is a vacation.

Natural raw opium contains a plethora of alkaloids (compounds containing nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen) and many of them are active or psychoactive. Two main chemical classifications are the phenanthrenes (opiates) and the isoquinolines (papaverine, noscapine). The opiates are morphine, which is [usually] the primary constituent, as well as codeine and thebaine.

When you buy opium from people on the street, like with other drugs, you never really know what you are getting. Raw opium is usually not smuggled into the country because it is much more economical to extract the morphine and convert it to heroin, both of which are easier to import.

Oxycodone and hydrocodone are opioids; they are semi-synthetic. Typically they are derived from thebaine or from codeine. The pharmaceutical industry grows poppies that produce more of these alkaloids. Hydrocodone is easier to produce from codeine, if you're comfortable with catalytic hydrogenation and Oppenauer oxidation. The first challenge would be isolating the codeine from the other alkaloids, and it wouldn't be the most prominent one. It is much easier to refine morphine from raw opium, and if you have the anhydrous acetic acid turn it into heroin.
