Evening all.
New to growing, please pardon the inevitably ignorant observations and/or comments <3
I'm on day 20 of veg with my first round of seeds in an organic soil (m3).
Yesterday I noticed a green, mossy looking substance on a patch of soil in my 1 gallon fabric pot, and the optimist in me chalked it up to living soil & moisture content. Today I followed up and found it had all turned this pale rusty color (pics below).
Some threads I've been able to track down have me speculating it could be decomposing wood/mulch material from the m3, while others seem to imply it could perhaps be a healthy mycorrhizal community?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
