Hi guys. Ive been a fan of this forum for a while now but have never posted. Im just starting a new medium scale totally organic grow and will be posting pics for criticism and comment as soon asi can. In the meantime i thought i'd start out with some organic tricks ive learned recently...
Many people love chamomiile tea, i do and so do cannabis plants. Chamomile has long been known to boost the essential oil production of many plants such as basil and lavender (i met a man in a bar who said he worked on a commercial lavender farm in california and he told me this). Growing chamomile along with your herbals can deter some species of bugs. Misting your babies with a chamomile tea (cooled of course) is quite beneficial.
I like to combine the above trick with another oldorganic trick: molasses. Get yourself a cup of blackstrap sulfured molasses and mix it into a gallon of hot fairly strong chamomile tea. Stir well and wait for this to cool to room temp and mist on plants or dilute to half strength and use as you would normal water. I do this 4 times a month omitting the molasses two of those times....
Instead of using chemical bugsprays try 1/2 cup of ethyl alcohol in 1/2 gallon of water. Test this one first on a small section of your garden. Mist on plants to kill spider mites, spiders, aphids, and many others....
Another unique idea i had was that after hearing that plants need gelatin in small amounts and some nursaries use Jello to provide that at a ratio of
1tsp per gallon. what if you matched the flavor of this jello to the flavors of your strain? i will be experimenting with this one...
Last trick is a good ole watering with perrier if youre not already using co2. Even if you are the minerals are good sources of micro nutes...
Thanks for reading this long ass post.... hope this helps someone.
