I have been using this stuff. For one, it makes your growing enviroment smell like the inside of an old tackle box. And second, it just doesn't seem to work that great. I've had to re-apply a couple times now and the flies keep coming back. (i did start with a shitty soil but still...) I didn't have a problem with any shriveling or discoloring but I made sure not to spray it on the foilage whiile the lights were on. That may have been your problem. Everything I've heard says not to get the leave wet while under lights cuz it acts as tiny magnifing glasses and burns hole in the leaves.
Organicide is the best solution I have ever found for controlling powdery mildew and mites. I always take my plants outside the grow room in a shady area and spray it on the tops and bottoms of the leaves and stems, using my hands to help it coat the leaves. Afterwards, I let them dry.
I wouldn't advise using this stuff under HID's and letting it dry. Sounds like a sure fire recipe for leaf burn.
It's over 90% fish oil so your plants will smell like a bass for 4-5 days afterwards. Make sure you have plenty of ventilation and air movement around the plants (which you need in any event). Also, make sure you mix the product according to the instructions. I use water that has been through an RO process, though it's not really necessary AFAIK.
An application every three weeks has kept my plants healthy. I have even used it on a few clones which were rooting when they showed some problems. they did just fine with it.
I'm finishing up a new greenhouse and vegging room right now and the walls haven't been treated yet, but every one of the plants shown here were treated with Organicide last weekend. They are growing like weeds (although they did smell like fish for a few days)
