Ott-Lite?

I was looking at these, and are these useful at all ? I saw a 17w in home depot, but it was 20 bucks. Also it does anyone know what type of light it is (it says it contains mercury on a warning label, but I don't know)?

probably a mercury vapor light. im not too sure about its efficiency, but im sure its not all the rage among growers. i know that mercury vapor have been around for a while.
