Our First Grow...HELP!

Okay, so me and my boyfriend decided we wanted to try growing for the first time. We have our seeds (Master Kush + 20 random) we started with a Master Kush seed and it germinated fine, so we tried two other seeds another M.K and a random. The random seed is very dark in color, pretty much completely black and has also germed/sprouted.

Here's our issue.

We have some information we have gathered on how to do this, we have a plant already beginning to grow (Juno I named her) and she is about 3 inchs tall after less than a week. And the other two are sprouting fine. We aren't to sure on a few things; Fertilizing and Cloning, but any help is appreciated, I don't know all the slang terms and stuff guys but please give it a shot? :) btw I live in Canada so we don't have any American products :/

Thank you :)..

We have a wardrobe covered in tin foil, we have a CFL light, 42 watt I believe. We're getting another bulb soon but we didn't think it was necessary for now as it's too small. We have a small fan on the lowest setting.

One of our main problems is we have a very low budget. The random seed has gotten rid of the seed casing, going yellow-ish, it's also bent in a way. I'd take a picture but we don't have a camera, and it's too small to see with our cell phone :( But here are some other pictures for you :)

We were thinking of using some liquid plant food, at half strength or a little less, because it's good for rooting to get plants and seeds started, but we'd prefer to have someone with more experience to give us advice. It's called Schultz 10-15-10. I don't know if it's an American product, because like I said, we're Canadian.

Btw, the random seed is the one in the back of the picture. The seed to the left is the second MK.

i wouldn't give them any nutes untill they have stronger root systems and more leaves seedlings have all they need to get started, you may want to put your light about 2 or 3 inches away from yout plant and im not sure on the 42 watt but you will need more soon if not now

We're getting new lights soon, next week I believe. Are you sure we should put the lights higher? Because the one seed is still pretty small but it seems to be growing, would moving the light effect it? Juno is three days older than the other two, is that going to be any problem at all?

Oh sorry, my bad. Just some regular garden soil :/ it doesn't say much on the package but I know that the ph is around 6.3 which was alright, I need to check again though.

And I'm not sure but I was wondering if you knew about CFL's? cause I don't know if they burn the plants.

Cfls will only burn the plant if the leaves are actually touching the bulb. If you wanna stop in and check out my grow I welcome you to, just click the link in my signature. Don't worry about the pH of the soil, just make sure the water is at 6.5.

The 3 day difference should not be any trouble at all, thats close enough...

Thank you so much :) I didn't want to get it to close, because they are a bigger version, not the smaller ones (if that even matters).

Okay it's been a few more days and the tallest plant (juno) has sprouted two more leaves but is now leaning on it's side :/ is she okay? I don't know these things and want to be sure. The second tallest (beth) is taller than Juno but with only two leaves.

We found out that the plants are not stretching :) the light is 1' away at all times and are not to hot for the plants.

The really dark black seed didn't do so great, it looked as if the seed actually rotted away, it was weird. The seed casing all dissapeared but out of the stem, two underdeveloped round tipped leaves are showing and two new leaves are growing. It is very small though, only a few centemeters. Can anyone tell me whats going on there?

When do you think is a good time to put them into bigger pots, and how big of a pot? I know how to transplant, but not into what size...:weed:

cfl r fine for veg alot of ppl only use cfl for veg if u go to ya local mega store and pick up a few packs of soft white or cool white cfl's, nothins wrong with the 42 watter u got those have been known to work well. As far as nutes dont really need those atm for the first 3 weeks all u need is water maybe 2 times a week and patients just kinda sit back and enjoy the show. good luck

If your plants are leaning over you can fill up the soil in the pot to the rim. The portion of stem that is buried will start new root growth.

CFLs will work great for your grow, you will need a bunch of them though, i have 8 14w + 1 200w cfls on two plants and it's growing fine.

Just remember cannabis is a very tough plant and some could call it a "survivor" lol, most of the time they're not easy to kill unless you have some really fucked up problems with your grow.

hope that helped! lol feel free to click on the little star at the bottom of the post right next to "journal this post" :D

that schultz is really, really good stuff. i use it almost exclusively for bloom formula, three dropperfuls per us gal. i start with one dropperful, then two, then three as the ladies get bigger and heavy with buds.
used properly, it can make buds just like these-

that batch ended up being around 4.2 oz dried. in a simple cab, like yours but different. check out my journal in my sig to see more if you want any info bongsmilie
welcome to riu

Hi again, sorry for the late reply, internet went down. I put some more soil in the containers, Juno is up and looking good again :) I'll have some pics up later, they're currently sleeping.. IAm5toned, do you have any specific schultz products that you'd recommend specifically? Thanks :)

Okay so right now, the plants are sick, and we don't know what to do, they are only 2 1/2 weeks in to the veg state yet they seem to be nitrogen difficient. Is there any way to fix this? :/ Here is a picture of the first plant, I'll put more pics up soon.
