I went and bought some plastic trashcans to put over my plants to force them into flowering. I put 2 layers or duct-tape along the open edge of the trash can to give it a little better seal. Then I cut up some old work pants to give it a little more of a sun barrier. If all else fails you could bring them in at night when the frost comes, if thier in pots or you have the option of bringing them in. Good Luck!

maybe build a tent like thing to block the light and put it on a few hours before dark and take it off at dark so the plant can still breath and you should induce flowering and have it done by late sept.

yeah I forgot to mention that I take the trashcans off after it gets dark, and then I put them back on about an hour before sunrise so the plants can breathe at night.

Depends on the strain and your latitude - alternate nodes occur well before flowering proper begins, in my experience.
I am at 38 deg N and my White Widow are just beginning to flower now.
