Outdoor Auto's!!

Hello everyone, I was wondering what type of auto was good for growing outdoors. Im from the east coast so its pretty cold right about now and isn't very sunny. I was looking for a plant that wont grow too high but will produce a good yield? Any help will be appreciated, Thank you

Most autos I've come across are pretty short at around 2 feet. I don't think you'll run into a height problem. Grow as many as you can, spacing them 12 inches apart, and keep an eye on your night time temps.

I never understood why people do autos outside, or autos at all for that matter. just seems like a waste of time outside for the small amount they produce. And i always hear people recommend autos for first time growers, because theyre easier. Not sure how thats so, just because it has a shorter life. If you can keep an auto alive till the end, you should be able to do the same with a photoperiod. Idk, do what u do, I'm just ranting

You don't have to wait for that 12/12 light cycle outside with an auto! And with people that have height issues indoors, autos can also be a life saver! If you treat your plants right you can get a alright yield from them as well! As far as what auto I think would be good for the OP, I'd go with Mi5! I've heard of plenty of people getting a good 3-4 ounces off a single Mi5

For someone who doesnt know anything about growing it is a lot harder to keep a photo plant alive for 7+ months rather than 3 tops. Other than that im not sure of the benefits either. Noobs always want to add all kinds of nutes they dont need therefore slowly killing there photo plants. I grow both outdoors. Its nice to get some different tastes throughout the year. My 2 cents!

Oh and my fave autos are Spyder and WW from dinafem.

Autos are the best for high-risk areas. I like growing both autos and big plants at the same time. Autos finish much sooner and are much shorter, thus I get get paid for the time I am putting in during the season (and getting back most if not all the money I put in the project), and then if my main crop is not ripped or busted I collect the golden payday. Win-win situation. Of course extra work is required, and I love the scenery, sunshine and the workout as a bonus!

Personally, in one spotI grow I put 30-40 along a shoreline, surrounding veg is 2'- 3', autos stay all but invisible till the end and best of all they are done by mid August. This particular spot they HAVE to be done by then or I'd 99% lose them. Other spots I grow I also add Auto's for the simple reason that they will finish a month before my other strains. And the spots I put them I'd never put my normal 5-7' stuff so it's not like I'm wasting a spot.

Besides, a skunk auto Ive been doing the past 3 years is the fave of 6-7 people I deal with. $275 a zip means $550-825 for something I have $12-15 in and done by mid August, why WOULDNT I do them??

If you go to my thread in the auto flower section it's called "going big with autos 7 bio disel and 7 northern lights, you can see the northern lights does really good better then the bio d but yeah I'm in southern calimand we have mild winters probley how your early spring is over there so you can get a see for how it would go

would suggest norther lights auto though forshur I really like it.

I do like 3 or 4 outdoor harvest a year with autos so I use them autos to grow perpetual or to get more harvest along with my regular photo period plants.......

wait until the days are longer and the nights warmer. trying to grow outside now will produce a small yield. maximum grow and yield will be from early April through June. GL

Yeah Im still happy with a low yield around 20 grams a plant that's a little over a pound and with soil seeds and everything I'm only 300 bucks in sooooooo seems like a good deal to me and it's just something to keep me busy and my green thumb green.

But yeah is next round when th days get warmer and longer that will be way better for a auto run I plan on doing close to 40 nextin 3 gallon smart pots hoping of a ounce to ounce and a half a plant.
