Outdoor AZ greenhouse grow

I will be building a greenhouse in my backyard soon and wanted to know if anyone knows of any good yielding strains that will handle 100+ degree temps ok. I need to keep them around 7 feet if I can.

Hey homie.

Trust me on this: you cannot grow weed in AZ at temps over 95 degrees. This means that (even at night) 1 June to 15 Oct is off limits.

The high temps will stunt growth. The high temps will cause hermaphrodites.

BUT good news is that from 15 Oct thru May, the aridity and low temps in AZ are really good for growing weed. Even in January, in a greehouse, you can rely on the light ballasts to warm up the room really nice.

Above 85 degrees, you need to use supplemental carbon dioxide. Use a five gallon bucket, muriatic acid from a pool supply, and marble landscaping chips from Home Depot. Reply to this post if you need help with the stochiometry.

There won't be any lights or ballasts. Just free sunshine. Screen cloth for the sides and clear plastic on the top, inspired by doublejj. I have grown outside in the summer just for veg just fine and seen someone else 6' plant when I was a kid, but never went through the flower period outdoors. If it stunts growth, I'm ok with that because my greenhouse will only be about 9' tall.
Just wondered if anyone has experience growing out a strain that handled the heat well, and was happy with their result

strange, have had her in temps above 110, she absolutely LOVED subcools super soil and had given her a lot of nutes on prior grows. has been the most stable strain ive worked, has never hermied and ive tried to force it

might be the case, others ive had through similar conditions were chernobyl, super sour og, and exodus cheese. (had a few problems that i got worked out, but these strains went through without hermi and had decent yields, especialy the chernobyl. i didnt actively try to force a hermi with these ones.)

Green house in the summer below the "rim" in AZ....hope you've got cooling. Depending on where you are, you may want to consider some lattice for the summer.

Consider using shade cloth instead of plastic for the hottest part of the summer. Lots of ventilation and water and plants should thrive.

Big problem is people using above ground containers = hot soil

Keep those roots cool underground and weed will grow all over AZ

+1 Bonehead.
I wanted to say that, but I don't have any data to back it up...and being a "newb" to these forums, don't want to get flamed immediately

did a 2 plant grow 3yrs ago outside. yes, they grew. but, results were not good. im in south az. better luck up in the far north.
try a African strain

What up guys, I have lived in souther az my whole life and I have been doing outdoor grows for 10+ years here. It is not impossible by any means, I had great success with DJ shorts F13 and FLO. Some others that have done exceptionally well were Mr. Nice Shit, Devil, NL5xHz to name a few. The trick I have found is to look for strains that were bred outdoors rather than indoors. It is a chore to maintain them but you get out what you put in. Another thing to think about is alot of these afghan and saliva strains come from places where temps are just as hot if not hotter, they can handle it with a little help. Peace.
