Anybody have experience using earth boxes outside for cannabis? I live in nor cal and I'm wondering about watering. Stays in the 90s all summer with low humidity. Any pros, cons, and tips would be appreciated!

The sun is gonna dry them out quicker, but if you keep up with watering you'll be good for one OK sized plant. You'd be better off digging a hole and putting good soil in it, or get a big fabric pot. BAS sent me one once that I didn't order that would be sweet outside. It's 65 gals.

Yeah I've been using 20/30 gal fabric pots for a few seasons. Probably going to put one plant in the ground and test run 4 earth boxes. I'm light weight so it's been overkill every season. Trying to dial in the amount to grow and find a low maintenance system. Been watching the BAS 10x10 videos. Be nice if he did a series that was earth box specific.
EM1 or LABs will keep it from getting funky. if youre worried about it wait until the plants are established and drinking quickly before setting it up.

Haven't grown cannabis outdoor in earth boxes. Too many pm problems etc at my coastal location but have grown garden veggies including zucchini which I would argue are more water thirsty than cannabis and got really nice crops. You might be filling the res daily mid summer but if you keep the shower cap on it's completely doable. 1 plant per box.

A blend of every indoor soil mix I've been experimenting with for a while. A lot of pumice and Sunshine 4 plus lots of amendments, peat, compost, etc weathered over the winter.
Had to do something with that mountain of used material so might as well repurpose to the outdoor garden
