Since our climate is obviously ideal, I was wondering if I could repot seedlings I've grown indoors outdoors in my garden? In the natural soil without pots. Is there any limitation?
If they are just seedlings grown in soil you should be alright.. just take care of the root mass.. are you sure the soil is good though, the native soil.. not all of africa is a garden of even..Since our climate is obviously ideal, I was wondering if I could repot seedlings I've grown indoors outdoors in my garden? There are some strains that do better than others outdoors, but any strain that exists today can be successfully grown outdoors. I would say the soil would be my first consideration and may or may not be a limitation, high humidity could be a limitation(depending on where you are), or if the area that you are planning on growing experiences high temps for extended periods that can be hard on plants also.Since our climate is obviously ideal, I was wondering if I could repot seedlings I've grown indoors outdoors in my garden? Thank you for your reply, you are definitely right not all of africa is a garden of eden.If they are just seedlings grown in soil you should be alright.. just take care of the root mass.. are you sure the soil is good though, the native soil.. not all of africa is a garden of even..
Thank you for your reply. My seeds are local nothing special but they seem to require less attention. I'm a first time grower, I did what everyone else usually says and I started indoors, then I repotted after my first month/2 then I moved my plants outdoors. I've noticed two of my pots are smaller and have been affecting the plant growth. Thats why Im asking if I can just start indoors and move directly into the soil in my garden. I initially started off with 8 plants and after repotting I lost 1 and 3 were male. So now I only have 4 left and 2 of which are just at their full potential. Im in a couple weeks deep through the flowering stages now and there's not much I can do. So I might as well get it right next time. Thanks! Some hybrids that have been maximized for indoor growing MIGHT NOT like the outdoors too much and could be more prone to certain parasites, fungus infection, etc. If you're getting your seeds from local grows these things might be less of an issue.
This is very helpful, ill keep the soil/humidity/temperature in mind. I've noticed when I was first starting out a few months back i took my plants outside for the day maybe 1 month and a half after sprouting and they really got burnt. So i kept them inside till they looked strong enough. The wind also played a very harsh role. I guess I'll have to keep them indoors till they can sufficiently benefit from outdoor growing. Good luck
Very helpful, I will gradually introduce them to the outdoors.Dont put them direct sunlight. Start them out in the shade, and increase the time 30 minutes a day for a week. they should be ok.
The can fry if you put them in direct sunlight, because theyre not used to UVA/B
Yesss yess it's blessed. Thank you!Dank of the dark continent, I like it. Be safe good luck
Love that! What are the conditions like for outdoor growing? Suitable?Grow some Durban!!!!!
