Outdoor Help

Hi everyone I'm gonna try my first grow soon but I need some help.

I'll be growing outdoors (next to a river). Do I still need to worry about pH if I'm using the river water?, I couldn't find the answer anywhere in the 101 questions.

Im sure you could ph the water from the river if you wanted to but I dont think it is really nessasary. It could be benificial to the plants though. So.......

You don't need to worry about the ph.

it depends on the river...pollution and other things..if its clean water go for it otherwise use another source.

plant on the bank above the high water mark, the dirt should be ok there. and if you see david byrne down there, drop him in the water.
