outdoor nutrient problem

Hello Friends. This is my first time outdoors in northern Cali. Small homegrow. Used osmocote plus with 1 tablespoon per gallon/container. Used plain potting soil consisting mostly of crushed lava rock and chipped wood. Plants started to yellow around the bottom, with little dots appearing on the lower leaves after repotting. Everything was fine first. It's weird. Even all my tomato plants have it. That's why Im thinking it may be some bacteria/fungus. I am using water straight from the well, PH is about 6.9
From reading on this board this could be a calcium deficiency. I am not sure. Any advice?

Looks like they are burning.
Rotting wood is not good for soil, and your PH is higher than optimum, and will limit nute uptake.

Thank you very much for the reply. But it looks like Im up shit's creek without a paddle. What am I suppose to do now? I can't repot them again, can I? That would remove most of the Osmocote, but not all. I can try adjusting the PH to 6.5 and I can use filtered water.
Your Chart shows that I have several 'Deficiencies", but how do I really know if they are burning?

Thats what happens when your ph is outta whack, the plant cannot take in certain elements. Correcting the ph corrects the problem.

wow, I had no idea it makes that much difference. Jeez Luis! In a lot of places you read that you don't need to PH for outdoor plants. Obviously that is a myth.
I used to have a drip system hooked up to a faucet on a timer. How can you automatically adjust he ph in a system like that? Is there a way even, or am I gonna have to
convert to a ph'd 55 gall drum gravity feed?

I'll guess that extremely high PH in the well water is causing your issues...you live near a limestone river basin?.

You'll have to either adjust the water, or you can try lowering the ph using an acidic medium such as peat.

No river too close, but my water here is very hard and smells of sulfur like hell. I adjusted some water to 6.5 and gave them a good soak. They look a hell lot better today!
I guess sprinkling some Peat on top is not gonna do the trick. Im gonna have to adjust the water.
