the big shade leaves on my plant have been slowly yellowing and turning brown and eventually falling off. it started from the bottom of the plant and is working up the plant. some of the other smaller leaves at the top have white tips and others have black tips. any input will be appreciated. i know pics would help but i don't have a camera.

If you could list what you've been doing and maybe someone might be able to see something out of line.

soil or hydro
Nutrients
How much are you mixing in to how much water and how often.
what stage of life are the plants in.. if it's week 8 then it's normal if it's week 1 then it might not be.

A pic would help a lot.

It is normal to drop a few leaves in the life of a plant. As long as the rest of the plant is looking good and growing.

its in miracle grow soil. been giving it mg bloom booster once a week for the last 4 weeks, been flowering for 6 weeks. i put a about 1/2 tbsp into a gallon of collected rainwater. it gets just rain atleast once or twice a week, sometimes 3 or 4. its been fine until about last week.

sounds almost normal to me, depends on how bad. You shouldn't lose all of your fan leaves until the very end of the life of the plant but many? Maybe. Might have something to do with the MG. MG gets blamed for everything so why not this?

N deficiency; yellowing from the bottom up, yellowing starts at the lower growth tips and travels inward.
miracle grow and basically all comercial nute's use 1tbsp to attain that npk on their lable. you want something balanced around 10-10-10 every other watering. but the bloom stuff will get you by if you cant get any other stuff.

when you feed 1/2 tbsp, thats 1.5tsp = 7.5-15-7.5 npk, i would use this every other watering and see if the problem gets better, give it 5 days

check the ph if its out it will cause nutrient lockouts, just adding more nutes will make things worse if the ph is out, flush and flush then dilute nutes.
