Overripe buds

Hey people,

I'm currently drying some buds and they are basically at perfect temp and humidity due to the AC so 15C 55 - 60%rh.

I'm looking at the buds and some look shit. The best way to describe it is they look lifeless and the hairs have gone a pale colour. The strain was blueberry muffin and I let it go 8 weeks and the one which looks the worst did look like it was finished a little earlier.

Does lifeless odd colour bud happen when it's over ripe? Or could it be another issue?

I can't really provide pics atm as it doesn't come through.

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks yeah I suppose they could be OK it's just the color of. The hairs which is throwing me off I suppose. I'll harvest and trim up and see what they are like.

Looks fine to me. If you're used to the look of dispensary or black-market weed, freshly dry home-grown definitely seems to have a different appearance (better IMO) because it hasn't been packed or stored... Any pics of it before chop?

And I'd venture to say there is no way it was overripe if you only flowered for 8 weeks

These are pics of it before harvest. I would agree usually 8 is OK which is why I cut it then but this is blueberry muffin by humboldt and it says 45. It did look done earlier but a couple phenos wanted more time so I delayed.

They seem to glisten in white from trichomes but thats usually a good thing. Maybe the extra white is hiding its "normal" color.
Also note the tendency of "black fade" in stead of yellow/purple fade in this plant, that may also keep your visuals down but lets face it : buds for smoking, and only secondarily for watching and the gram. Congrats on your harvest. How much berry nose did you get? May be more clear after full dry and cure.

That's interesting about the black fade didn't even know this was a thing. I'll Post some pics once it's chopped up and hopefully it looks better.

Black fade: we get this on our Animal cakes. They are deep deep green al the way thru veg and flower, then fade to black. I think its just a variant of fade to purple, just that the green doesnt go out of it properly: fark green + lots of dark purple = black. The purple is anthocyanin.
