Overwatering in flowering stage???

So on day 3 of flowering i watered one of my plants a whole lot (now that i think about, i was kinda stoned too) and i left for the weekend. I come back on Sunday to find the planted looking horrible past the point to be saved. All i have been doing is cutting off the dead leaves/tops and just praying it will dry out and start growing. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions???
