Overwatering or Underwatering?

First off excuse poor pics only have a cell phone camera right now.

Ok, so this plant is a little more than 2 weeks old. In this pic was looking good nice and perky.

Then here it starts to droop some... about the next day or day after.

Over the next few days I dont water and the drooping gets worse, sorry no pics. So I transplant it to a soil mixture with more perlite to help avoid overwatering and the next day after transplant, it looks awesome and perky again.

well, low and behold it starts to droop again, so I give it a little water around the base and the drooping continues. And here it is now.

So you cant tell really in the pics but to me the leafs look kind of dry and feel dry, So i gave it a decent bit of water and we will see how she does tomoro. Keep in mind this is also a experimental plant and just switched to 12/12 cycle 2 days ago so could be some shock from the switch and transplant.

Any got a good guide on approx amount of water, (i.e 5 oz. every 3 days etc.) Something I can kind of go by.

Let the top inch dry completely before watering. What kind of nutes are you feeding it?
Looks a tad bit small to go into bud you got a short room?

yea it is small like i said its "experimental" seen some people do SOG grows with 12/12 from the seed and yield 1/4 to 1 ounce per plant. So im trying soem different things with this one, its just bagseed.

As far as nutes, small amount of colorburst 15-30-15. i dont think its a nute problem but you never kno.

I've used the rule of thumb to let the top inch to 3 inches dry before watering again. When you do water though should you saturate the soil pretty good, or just small amount around base of plant. I think thats my problem is not so much when to water but how much to water.

It's a plant....it will droop from time to time.

It's entirely too short to be on 12/12 IMHO.

I understand many of you will think its too short for 12/12 and I agree, its a "experiment" lol.. Curious to see what comes of it and if it will turn out to be a viable way to do a sog grow in small space and have a start to harvest time of 13weeks. I've already seen one guy do a awesome job with 12/12 from seed grows.

You are overwatering. The only time it should droop like that is when it's asleep.

Stop watering except when the pot feels dry. I don't like all the 1" 3" dry stuff it's just easy as hell to pick the pot up and feel it. Plus stick your fingers in enough potting soil and you will end up with a fungal infection. (Just trust me on that last part.)

Pick the pot up now... See how heavy it is? Don't water again until it feels like a cup of dry dirt. The plant will perk up eventually and when it needs water again it will very visibly droop. Wait for it.

Oh and just to clarify overwatering doesn't mean giving too much water it means watering too often. When you water it's best to soak them well not just dabble a cup here and there.

Soak, let dry, soak, let dry.
