which is acquired when the plant takes in H2O (water) (2 parts hydrogen 1 part Oxygen makes up the H2O chemical bond)
Actually no. The roots and the leaves are metabolically different. Roots actively breathe air for its oxygen. Leaves produce oxygen only in light. The plant can't store the oxygen for later. cn

i give my plants sparkling water to give it extra oxygen,i just wanted to know if its good for the plant in any way?

It's bad for them, especially in soil. Sparkling water is full of CO2 which will displace air and really suffocate the roots. cn

Oxygen in the soil is for the fungi and algea to thrive so your plant can consume it and grow !! However your plant is a weed, it would much rather attack and consume the roots of a plant next to it, that`s what weeds do and why we take them out of our vegtable gardens !! Oxygen will kill your plant in large quantities, that`s why the plant exausts it !!

In a strange small way I have sympathy for these folks. When I started in this game, the idea that roots need oxygenated air, just like animals, was new and vaguely incredible to me. But I have found out that it is so, and so much of the "overwatered" plants I see in Plant Problems are that way from underaeration of the root zone , wheeze gasp.

Bottom line, everybody: plant roots need to breathe oxygen. In soil, that is from exchange of air. In hydro, especially immersion hydro like DWC, an air stone is used to put the dissolved O2 back in that the roots suck out. cn

They need O2 in the roots..they can drown. Some folks even recommend drowning before harvest. I don't btw. And when in no light they need O2 for metabolism.

As you to yours, but please consider that metabolically, the roots and green parts are distinct. The need of roots for oxygen is fact. cn

I`ll read the rest of that link when they correct all the grammar and punctuation !! Looks like I wrote it !!

The reason a plant drowns is the saturated soil kills the funguses that breathe, and the roots can`t get the oxygen out of them by way of fluids !! People think that Termites eat wood,...well we know better than that,..don`t we !!

Trivia time: Why aren`t all plants labled as weeds ?

forgot to mention i only sprayed on an around leaves in veg growth, never poured onto soil,it never harmed my plants at all.
