I read a thread about some guy using sparkling water to water his plants and thought about ways to add oxygen to water.
Do you think either running a fish tank air pump into a jug of water for a couple hours, or just shaking the shit out of the water would improve oxygen absorbtion by the roots?
I watered on tuesday early afternoon till i got a slight bit of runoff (its sat night now). On thursday night/fri morning we got 1.2 inches of rain and on friday we got 2 inches. The weather has been average to high humidity and temperatures from 80-90. Tuesday, wednesday, and most of thurs was sunny but the soil was still more wet than i would like to wait before watering.
Anyways Im curious as to how long it takes for overwatering to damage the plants.. they are 13 days old and most have 4-8 leaves and the two that are 17 days old have 18 leaves and 8 (bigger) leaves.
I checked them at 8 tonight and they are still very wet even after a day of solid rain so i broke up some small sticks (1/4-1/2 inch wide) and set the pots on top of them... is this ok to do? T
The ground they are sitting on was so damp and was preventing water from draining. And when should i start fert with 10-2-1 bat guano and how much should i start with? Soil is unfert. sunshine mix and 10-15% worm castings.
