In life, we are sometimes given opportunities that if we fail to act on, will be gone forever. However, every once in a while, we are given a second chance at something we thought was a long lost hope.
Around 1979 I missed my chance at real Panama Red when I was taken for $25 (half ounce) by a local legend of a pot head by the name of Richard E.
Among other things, Richard is know for what were termed, "Cheater hits," where he would take repeated in and out drags of a joint or bowl, trying to fill his lungs to capacity, and wasting a bunch in the process.
This could be a real issue when pot was scarce and you had to share with a group.
One day Richard told a friend and I (Dr Sharp) that he could get us some of the legendary PR but for a slightly higher price. We shelled out the money and waited for his return but alas, he never came back.
We eventually ran into him and he concocted some story about being ripped off and we just had to let it go at that. Over the next year or so, Richard kept promising to get some PR and he even smoked us out with what he claimed was real PR, but we never knew for sure if it was the real deal.
To this day, I cannot be sure that it was real so I cannot express how excited I am to get my "second chance" to find out, and to give Richard a second chance at redemption..
At the time, the story on PR was that it was highly psychedelic and I used that factoid and the Richard E story to save my ass one day. I must have been about 15 years old at the time and one day my buddy, Dr Sharp and I ran into Richard. Richard had some mescaline for sale(micro dots) and we decided to give it a try for the first time. Well, when I came home 3 hours later and I was flying out of my mind, my older sister noticed something was up and started questioning me. She was cool with me smoking pot but not doing heavy drugs and she was sure to tell my parents and I would face heavy trouble.
My mind was reeling but quickly settled on the fact that she knew the Richard E, "PR" story and told her an elaborate story of a chance meeting and smoke session with Richard and his famous Red Bud. She bought it hook line and sinker because she was more concerned that I didn't get some to share with her and because PR had a reputation that explained my crazy eyes.
To be fair to Richard, I have to say that I have nothing but fond memories of him and those times.
Man, those were magical times!
So, it is with these memories in mind that I truly thank all the old school guys like Dr Greenthumb that had the foresight to keep these strains alive.

Here we go…..
I believe flower time on these will be no less 11 weeks so I plan to put them in at around 9 inches tall to avoid ridiculous amounts of stretch. I will also top at the 2nd node which will also reduce stretch and produce 4 main colas.
I will be using pro-mix and doing the flood to waste method as usual.
Veg under 400-800 watts of MH.
Flower under 1800 watts of HPS (vertical)

For the pure Sativa lovers like myself out there, this is a god send.
