Papaver Somniferum Poppies[What time of year to plant]

Yeah yeah you hate it, i know. Get off my back.

What time of year is the best to plant these? I just got me 2,500 seeds and im wondering if i should wait till next spring.:confused:

And does anybody know anything about these growing indoors? I've heard they really don't grow well at all. Pretty much die quickly.:-?

I live in cali. Close to SanFran. It'll stay warm here for another month or two, but no snow or anything.

they don't mind the cold weather..... does it really even get down to freezing there? i believe they even thrive in 40ish temps...

there are some grow guides on youtube.

Hey thx for the reply, and not attacking me about it. Geez. Went to GC.com and got nothing but flames for growing "Opium." and being such a little druggie.

And it always stays pretty warm. Nothing below the 50s in my area. Nice weather for ganja growing tho. They fucking THRIVE on this sun.

To be honest im merely curious. I have the seeds, but after looking at CA's laws on the subject, I'm a bit skeptical of trying. I mean up to 20 funking years for ONE fucking pod! i can handle the heat when it comes to maryjane. but screw that 20 year crap.:cuss:

ur probs right the law wudnt look to kindly on it if u have lights etc, unless ur growin em in ur garden cause i dont thin k the popo's wud really take notice of the 'flowers'in the garden but then again dont think the yeild is worth it for profitable means anyway and the one guy who cud probs answre all ur questions got barred :P

nono not profit. Never by any means. And outdoor be the way to go. I just really want to mix it with a fat bowl of some kill. I would have only grown it once lol. im not into coming back to anything as addictive as it is. Just the mix/faded high that interested me. + it'd be a whole lot better then buying some crud off the streets. that probably wouldn't even be the real deal anyway lol *Hospitalization"

aw yea i totally agree, if i was ever gunna try opium, wud never dream of buying it off the street eh im not botherd atm (getin weed tday;) ):p
maybe in a few years il have a scrapin, do report back on the high if you decide too

Gah, Lucky bro. I never smoke weed anymore. Not by choice, but im always broke, no job. looking for one[have been for over a year] occasionally a friend or two will come over and toke a lil ass blunt, or a bowl or two. but other then that, all my hopes and dreams of smoking a cool amount of marijane everyday lye in my two unsexed mari plants. today i transplant one =]
And i don't exactly have a green thumb for growing either. this is my second attempt.[ last one i just threw out at a month, tried 12.12ing from seed with shit CFLs]


shit, im rambling.
If i decide to go ahead and grow with it, ill defendantly make a smoke report.
