Hey guys this is my Journal for my Papaya grow!
This is my second grow but my first with soil. My first grow was Misty by Nirvana done with an NFT. Good result but that was a couple of years ago. Now i am trying a new one, Potentially a BIG ONE
My current setup is a large cupboard in my bathroom which i have lined with all the appropriate reflective materials, 400w Dual Spectrum HPS and Fans (even a fire alarm lol)
I created a "Germination Station" out of a box that holds records with a bog standard 60watt lightbulb that has a plug on it and i germinated my seed on damp paper towels inside the "Clam Style" setup with plates.
The seed is a Nirvana's Papaya (Mango). I bought it as a single seed for $7 (delivered) and it is feminized. The germination took 2 days (Sat&Sun) and i planted it into my own makeshift pot (The bottom half of a 2 litre bottle which has been covered in white plastic to shield the roots) and i left the pot in the germination station lastnight.
This morning i finished the grow room and i put her into the room and she loved it! At first i saw a little sprout appearing at around 3pm and when i checked on her at 8 she was out with her first 2 leafs!
She seems to be going real fast, from seed to sprout in just under 3 days!
I have started with the 24 hour light cycle but i will eventually reduce that down to 12/12 in 30 minute increments and the soil is just from a basic tomato feed grow bag.
I plan on buying a 4.5 / 5 Gallon pot for her and repot next week then flower on week 3 possibly and i would like some advice on what would be a good fertilizer/soil w/Nute mix if possible please
Any more tips would be greatly appreciated as my knowledge runs thin. I know the basics but i am now looking into the more advanced techniques of gardening with soil such as a home made mix of soil and nutes? Also ventilation, is it a big MUST have? The smell is not a problem for me its more fresh air into the grow room.
I will be documenting this through the next 12 weeks or so with pictures

Also has anybody experienced Mango before? What is the Stone/High like and the yield? I am wondering if this plant can be a monster? It has the whole space to itself (1m x 1m x 2m) with the 400watt dual spectrum light.
I also have another room exactly the same as this in my bedroom for a second "Colorful Strain" (Suggestions Welcomed) that will be kitted out the next couple of weeks
