Parabolic reflectors

What's good about them? Can they be air cooled? If not I fear they would leave me with heat issues no matter the other advantages.

i'm pretty sure you can't air cool them. i've never seen a parabolic that could be. it wouldn't be parabolic then. i think they are for bare bulb growers to aid somewhat in reflection. everything i have ever seen says they are the least efficient reflectors.

you could put a cool tube in the parabolic and cool that way, BUT

i think parabolics are more for large grows
in larger grows, one has higher ceilings
with 2 - 3 feet above your lamps, the heat moves up there all by itself
amazing
i've got 8 foot ceilings and grow on the floor
i keep about 2-3 feet over my lights and don't even run my circ fans yet, because they actually HEAT my room this time of year because they piush the heat off my ceiling rofl
