passive air intake and 400w hps help me man(women)

for anyone who has a problem im sorry for reposting in a different room.................... okay as some of you know i've been having issues getting my temps below 90F with my 400w hps in a 3x3x5 area. my first quetion is wut is this passive air intake everyone keeps saying?? but otherwise i have now put a 4 in fan blowing under the light towards the 6" exhaust at the other side of the reflector and going outside i really hope this works im running out of options and cant afford a coot tube reflector if anyone out there has any other ideas please let me know

im having the same problem as you. what you have done is the cheap way to try fix im trying that to and it is kind of working but im just going to get the cool tube reflector. its so much work if you dont get it hope somone can help you.

dont waste ur money going out and buying a cool tube, just buy a bigger fan!!!!

Get a bake-a-round off ebay and diy a cool tube out of it. Has worked for me and numerous others.
