Passive fixtures

Are passive fixtures with IP ratings the next evolution in lighting?

I see PLC is working on a new design.

Flip Chip Opto has mentioned they will be releasing one soon.

I was looking around trying to research what's out there at the moment and I stumbled across this light:

https://www.talltreesled.com/Products/Harvest-Ultra/harvest-ultra.html

I don't know if anyone has already posted about that fixture or not. It looks like it has a lot of red in it, but the overall design of it is nice and clean -kinda reminds me of a passive Apache Tech! I like the modular aspect of the mono panels....pretty cool. I know monos are yesterday's news to many....and yet Apache Tech still uses them and they are renowned for the quality (and performance) or their lights, so I guess monos are still relevant somewhere in the world! ;) -opinions on this Tall Trees light?

Will everything be passive soon? I mean, as technology advances...COBs (or whatever is next) get more efficient....there probably won't be a need for extra cooling because nothing will get hot enough to need it....right?

I believe so. Not sure whether this one, though. Check out Ben's Horticulture Lighting. It's the design I like the best so far. (Great work @BenSeiDank )

With increasing efficiency of LEDs, passive cooling is the future. Some kind of certification is a must in a commercial application. So yes, I think there will be more such lights.
