Good day my fellow growers and welcome to my new journal.

I am coming all the way from Cape Town in South Africa, I've been a member of other forums but haven't been on any for a few months while I was getting my new setup sorted and bought.

I am running two tents for Veg and Flower:

Veg tent is a Mars Hydro 1m x 1m x 1.8m with two quantum boards with Meanwell Drivers pulling about 60w each. I might add another later on but for now it seems good.

Flowering tent is a 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m tent with a Gavita 6/750DE, big inline 200mm fan and carbon filter. This tent hasn't been set up yet as I'm currently growing mothers to take clones from in the veg tent.

I am using an organic soil from a local supplier which usually gives good results

Now the strain line up for this grow:
White Widow
Amnesia Haze
Strawberry Amnesia
Vanilla Kush
DC OG
Fruit Spirit

A total of 6 strains this time around but might go to 8 for the next grow if all goes well.

Any plans to run a Durban Poison or other African heirloom? Might be hard to find them now.

Have heard it is dangerous for whites there like really bad. Mandala killed 20K of a rival tribe?

What's up Yesum, thanks for stopping by bru. If I could get a proper SA strain then most likely would grow it to keep some of the Swazi heritage going. Got a mate who's got a connection to a bloke in Swaziland so might get something down the line. LoL nah bro it's the white farmers that's getting killed on their property currently with alot of race related politics. Tbh I couldn't care less I like living here and get along with everyone, unless they being a c@nt. Lmao

Looks good mate, and you’ve got a nice sounding lineup.. I hear you have got fuck all water to grow anything down there?
How do you find that gravita 6/750? I got two gravita pro 1000’s, and reckon there great!

What's up Chipper. LoL yeah we got some water issues down here but I'm not too worried. I got 2 water tanks with 2200L each so got 4400L total. I haven't used the Gavita yet bru just waiting till plants are ready to go into it for flowering. Damn two 1000's? How big is your grow room?

Lol, I am a white, and I am a there... no man, the world is a shithole everywhere it has safe pockets and places you don't go, just like your town.

I have like a can full of local seeds on my desk.

Awe bru that seems like a decent light. What is the specs on it? I put away my blurple light tho and upgraded to the Gavita just now. Have been wanting this light for a while, it's kak bright plugged it in the other day and me and my friend couldn't look directly at it. LoL moerse beast jassas

Awe but when those naiers go to the farms with AK47 to "steal" from farmers that's a good sign that isn't all they wanna do. Don't see some wanker in Goodwood rob someone on the street with a full auto rifle. LoL they must try, will wys them what boer I can be.

Those are 3 double row Samsung Gen 3 F- strips. on a 320W driver. The strips are about $50 each, but they pack a punch.
They are attached to cheap aluminium channel from Buildit.

Well at least you got some water sorted mate, that’s good to see!! My wifey is South African and still has family down Cape Town. Showers only every four days or so they reckon.
I’ve been using the two gravita’s in a 2m x 2m room, 4 plants with good success. I did find they pump out a bit of heat so good air circulation extraction is a must.

Nice brother. Nothing better than an SA wife! LoL! I got a big ass 200mm inline fan for my two tents it pulls quite a bit of air so hoping it'll be nuff. I'm gonna do a direct pull from a slight open widow through both tents and skoot it out the other window also open. Do you run the controller with both lights or do you just do the stock switches on the light? Do you have a journal going bru? Would love to follow along. 4 plants holy polony, also don't eat Enterprise polony you'll die. LoL

Sounds like you got the air situation sorted. The smaller model gravita probably won’t be to bad heat wise. I grew out in 660 watts which was fine. The higher wattage during flower time was when it heated up.
No journal at the moment, haven’t grown anything for a year or so and brood this site for a while also. I averaged a pound a plant nearly. 50lt pots, perlite is the way to go!!!

Lmfao!! Still drives like she's from Goodwoodso you ran both lights at 660 with the controller? Hopefully you start up soon again would absolutely love to see it brother. Damn 400g is alot per plant. I'm doing some organic type of soil but only going to be 15L pots, trying for a SOG type grow but going to have 16 plants. I could go bigger pots but seeing as I'd like a quicker turnover I'd have to chicken wing it and see the results? Get that journal going!

No controller mate, just the adjustments on the the light its self.
Will be up and running soon I hope, not in the big tent though. Back to the single plant in a 1m x1m tent. Will start a journal for those interested..
