PC CFL Grow OG Kush & Pineapple Express

Well I guess ill start off by saying Hi.

I've been wanting to do a PC grow for a while now because of my spare computer case that's been sitting collecting dust in my garage. I don't really care about the stealth factor of this so to me it was just more of a side project.

Started off with Germinating the seeds on Nov 17 via the trusty paper towel, plate, and saran wrap method. Came back the next day and had some nice little roots going .

I'm now on day 5 from germination and have some nice little seedlings going. Ill keep everyone updated daily as I have very little to occupy my time. Feel free to ask any questions or give any suggestions .

Using:
3x 23W 6500k (4350 lumens)
Fox Farm Light Warrior
Flora Nova Grow & Bloom
3xPC Case fans
Random Thermo and Humidity Meter from Walmart

New growth they seem to be troting along just fine under the 20/4 time schedule I have them on.

No nutes yet, was thinking I should start giving them some next week, but for now just water and mist when I can.

Very nice. It is similir to what I am attempting so I will sub. I want to see how this turns out. Keep us posted!

Will do , I'm going to Scrog it eventually once I find the right type of chicken wire that will fit in the case. I need to add another fan in the case as well. Things seem to be getting a tad bit hot in there.

i wouldnt add nutes yet or atleast untill they are over 3weeks old.
im not expert on nutes but i do know you gots to be delicate with them start them off
slowly then upgrade!

what are your deminsions.
scrog is the way to go in a pc. im trying to practice and attempt thru out time the ultimate scrog grow in a pc.

I did check out that thread gave me the inspiration to try this out. The outer dimensions of the case are 20x8.5x20, has plenty of room, but Im having some ventilation issues, going to add another 120mm fan at the top to get the heat out of there faster. I'm surprised at how much growth has happened over the past few days. At what point should I get the chicken wire in there? and when should I start training the plants?

how do you have your fans setup best way i found out how to keep temps down
is putting an intake fan at the bottom
and an exhaust at the top
you said you had 3pc fans make 2 exhaust and 1 intake should help.
im not an experience grower bro but i can try to help you off of what i know.
everything i know is thanks for riu so everybody will help you out.
you can put the screen on as soon as you start its just easier to work with when its not thier
put the screen up where you will have enough room to train your plants so depending how big are your hands
i have about 4-5inches from my pot to the screen its enough space for me to work with the plant.

from what i have learned and they told me is basically let the baby grow through your screen about 3-4inches
then just pull them down and move them to your desired hole on your screen.

you wont get it right the first time but will help each other out it is my first scrog as well but not my first grow.

Its nice to have someone to compare to at the same level as me. Ive watched a few friends grow before so not everything is new to me just this small of a grow.

I figured out wha thte problem was, my bottom fan was exhausting the air and the two top fans where my intake fans. So I switched the back top fan as the exhaust fan and made the two front fans (top and bottom) intake fans and the temps drop dramatically over the hour; much better environment for the plants to veg in.

I was growing a seedling of that strain once only 2wks in
And my she was beautiful and smelly to bad I had an
Electrical problem and my fans didn't turn on
Since I had it under a 400w it toasted my baby down to crums by the
Time I got home ):..
Its a good strain though hood smoke too =D

I don't have any glorious smells yet but ill let everyone know when they begin to stink.

The temps where starting to get into the high 80's and peaked at 91 at one point. That's when I started fishing around now with the lights on and better venting my temps are around 82 with the lights on. I think once things get growing I'm going to ad two more fans on the outside to flow more air as this case might get a bit cramped.

Just to let you know it's always better to have a stronger
Exhaust then a stronger intake.

What are you planning to do about the smell?

Nothing really if it smells it smells , spray some fabbrezze and go on with my day lol. That's why I wanted to add two more larger fans to the case.

Don't underestimate it. But if your not hiding your grow
Then fabreeze will do.

I have 2 exhaust fans and 1 intake fan
When I had my 4 6500k 23w cfl my temps
Were from 65-75f.

Once I put in the 4 42w 2700k
They went up to 75-85f
Are you planning to flower with those

No I was going to go down to 3 2700 lights for flowering.

The more the better im pretty sure you can fit 4 of them their.

How many watts will they be?

not Sure but 3 is the best I could do with the setup i have right now. In the future I will upgrade to a balast and bulb system or just go directly with some LED setup.

idk if the space is going to allow it, but 1 125, or 200 watt dual spectrum CFL could help. Wouldn't have to worry about multiple watt CFL's or the color temperatures.

Where could I get one of the 200watt Dual Specturm CFL's I looked around at first and wanted to go that way at first. But you might be correct about the space. I think that after this grow im going to build a larger cab for my self based off what works and what doesn't with this grow.

Hi there good luck with ur pc grow I'm gonna start 1 soon at a friends but was does scrog mean as i have read it alot but don't know or understand what it is,also the thing I'm worried about it how do you get the plant to grow short enough so it don't hit the light and burn cheers

Basically training the plant to grow more in a smaller space.

Trust me the plant wont grow that fast to where you wont notice if its getting burned or not lol
