PC vs cab choose

Alright before I begin. I'm moving into a basement apartment where stealth is a concern. I posted on some pictures of my first growbox and a potential new growbox. I built the cab using the car window reflectors from Canadian Tire, duct tape, old pc fan, old 12v cell phone charger, alluminum tape, 3 CFL 6500k 26W and 1 CFL 2700k 23W. Those lights were the highest CFL lights I could find, they are 23 and 26 W equivelent to 100.

Now the PC growbox is a bit bigger than an average PC tower. I believe its a full tower, has two fans already built into it. My only concern is the quantity. My cab is twice or three times the width of the PC.

As long as I can harvest enough for just personal use I would be happy. (An Ounce a month). Alright so here are the pictures. :)

Also, any feedback is appreciated. :)

I cannot see that pc unit producing an oz a month but prove me wrong and rock it! good luck

Alright so any feedback? So question, it isn't possible for an ounce a month but should I scrap the cab and just put it all into the pc?

yeah i dont think you will be able to get an ounce a month out of the pc its way to small to harvest a plant each month you can only put 2 or 3 plants max in it and it would have to be purpetual and it woul dhave to be 12/12 so that will hurt your yield also

Well man. I have a stealth PC and I have a stealth dresser. I am going to tell you right now that you are NOT going to get an ounce out of a PC every month. You can get about an ounce out of a PC every three months if done correctly. So you are going to have to use your stealth dresser. I can pull three oz out of my dresser every three month and that would suit u perfect. Good luck with your grows. STAY HIGH!!!

Hey pen! Thanks for checking my topic, I've seen your journals and such. Good work man. Yea I'm just starting out my first time so its always good to see what others say. :) now the fan/ intake air is a vent booster. Looks bulky but seems to work nice. I just need some advice making my cab more stealthy than. Maybe creating a light blocker. But how...

I don't know man, I have a 5ft tall dresser and I am worried about cola's hitting the top already. even with lst and topping.

Terror thank you. I think your my first watcher heh. And thenumber it can be done depending on strain and such. I've done my homework. Once the idea forms, your obsessed. Lol. But in a healthy way of course. Right now I'm doing 18/6 light cycle. In 4 hours I can turn the lights on and see if there's been any movement. I'm planning on buying a couch cover to block light while she's sleeping. Plus it'll cover my nail mistakes in the cab. :( I believe I'm going to paint the outside and try to make it look nice but need some options. Still need advice on covering light from fans.

I was thinking about creating "labrynths" to cover light. I saw a video on youtube about building cabs. Was like 26 videos long but one of the videos explained it. Ill look after.

Hey a quick update. Watered the plants but still no sprouting from any of the cups. They were all ready but its been 2 days with no sign of growth... amy feedback? I'm not overwatering because I'm using a mist spray for just the top layer. The lights seem to be enough as well. Not sure....

i would put suran wrap over the cups for moister seedlings like moister mine came out 2 or 3 days after i stuck the tap root in

Good idea. So do I poke holes in the wrap or leave a corner lifted for air? Also how much do I water and when with the wrap? Also has anyone constructed an easy light filter for the fans?

I would add pics but nothing has changed yet except the wrap.

i think you will need alot more light either add more of those 23w or try find 65 or 105 watts somewhere it will make a big big difference. :)

just be patient with seeds ive had seeds that popped after up to 7 days.

I can fit 2 more lights, however, the heat rises past 30. I can't build another hole for a fan since I'm in progress. Any suggestions?

Added 1 light. (Same as others). Any advice on the cabinet? It's a bit loud because of the fan (Big rectangle filter). For the wires, they lead to a circle going outside the cabinet from the back. Is that alright? Should I take out the big loud fan filter and get maybe something else to fit? Any ideas?

Also this will be moving from a room into a walk in closet. Any idea if that is also alright?

New update: still no movement even with the added light. I don't get it. I honestly though I would of seen atleast 1 cup sprout even a mm by now...

Alright building covers for the fans and debating removing my floor fan thing and switching for a fan off an old pcu. Still no growth, should I look to see if roots have formed? Also when do I work on the fans? Daylight hours or dark hours?

Update: cut the top off the cups and raised the cups a solid inch or inch .5. Should I work on cab during light phase ?

still no sprout or activity in any of the cups. 18-6 light cycle, watering just enough and still nothing. The seeds were germinated and ready, temp is perfect, lights are correct and the soil is indoor planting soil from home hardware store. Any ideas? Should I keep trying or are they all done?
