Peat Pellet Seed Starters and Cheap Nutrients

I went to wally world today and picked up Peat seed pellet starter(they were only a buck, thought I'd try them out) and Maricle Grow Organic Care with molasses. I know Maricle grow isn't the best but It's really all I could get/afford right now.

One of my germinating seeds started to crack today so I put her in one of the seed pellets and a bit of soil. I was wondering if anyone here had tried peat pellets and how it worked for you, and if the maricle grow is really that bad.
